Leadership is the important thing that is the key of a
leader to lead an organization, community or their selves. In student
organization, leadership is as the material of student for training how to lead
an organization well. As we know that organization for student in school is not
the real application organization in the work world. Student just practice to
manage and handle an organization. They learn about having good leadership. Then,
they learn about knowing the real fact of differences character in this world
by joining organization in their school. Although, they still learn and
practice about leadership but they should know well about the implied meaning
of leadership. The reason is that they do socialization with someone else in
their organization. Accordingly, understanding and learning about leadership
well is the obligation to a student.
Leadership is not only leading some community or
organization as well as possible but also learning about the real meaning of
our life such as leading ourselves to be the real person. Everyone should have
good leadership because we are as the leader of our life. Whatever our
condition, situation, illustration, weakness and happiness, we should remember
that we are as the real leader for ourselves. We can do everything that is positive
or negative thing in our life but we have something different in our life that
is leadership. It depends on us; we will lead ourselves in the dark condition
or light condition. Our God has already given perfect thing for us and it is
real thing that we should realize it. Some people don’t realize about it. Perhaps,
the condition of everyone is different and the destiny is always walking with different
way from our thinking. Based on our leadership, we can manage our life well in
our daily life. Therefore, there are many institutions or organizations have
already held leadership seminar or training. The purpose of these activities is
making a good leader for the future because good leader will build amazing
world to be better than now. According to these explanations, we know well if
leadership is very useful for our life, moreover for the influence of school
organization.
On the other side, planting leadership since a child
is the good choice for us. Actually, we don’t know before if we have already
learned about leadership since a child. We learn about doing and managing
something from our parents since a child. Then, our parents always try to
educate their children well by giving the best education, training, course and
necessity. Fortunately, these things have given different effect from the first
intention. By doing these activities, our parents have already given the
training and educating about leadership. When we were a child, we did simple
thing well and learned about new thing by the instruction of our parents. We
could do our daily life by ourselves as soon as possible. We could manage our
activity although that was not perfect yet but our parents always guided us to
do it as well as before. That is the example of our leadership when we were a
child. We don’t realize about it but it is the real thing that we have already
done in the pass. Therefore, planting our leadership when we were in child
moment is the natural proses that we have already done it.
According to these explanations before, the pre leader
or student should know about the criterions of a good leader. There are several criterias to
be good a leader. It will give many
advantages for their leadership in school organization. Moreover, they are as
students of school and it will give many sciences and knowledge’s about
something new different in their life. It will be the key for starting their
organization skill here after.
The first
criterion is a leader should have leadership mind set. Every student can be a
leader but we should know that all of students don’t have leadership mind set.
Many students get failed when they are being a leader. The reason is their mind
set is not really suitable for being a leader. The leader should have more
confident, positive thinking and never give up whatever and however their
condition. Based on good mind set, a leader can lead their community or
organization well than a leader doesn’t have it. The second criterion is
intention. Intention is the basic thing that should have by every leader in
this world. Everything will get the best or bad result, it depends on the
intention. Starting everything when we want to do something by having a good
intention is the best way for us. Moreover, it will be the best choice for a
leader. Besides, a leader will not be comfortable in their leadership, if they
don’t have enough intention in the beginning of their leadership. According to
these explanations, leadership mind set and intention is very useful and
important to every leader.
The third
criterion is being guard for their members. The real leader is good guard for
their members when they are in the leader’s leadership. The reason is some of
leader doesn’t have good enough guard for their members. Many members don’t
satisfice with their leader because the leader makes distance with their
members. The members will think that their leader is arrogant and unfriendly.
This is the serious problem between the leader and members. As we know that an
organization or a community will not perfect without a good relationship
between them. The negative effect of this problem is the work program of an
organization or a community will not be running well. As long as this problem
will be the big problem, such as miss communication and miss understanding when
they work together. According to these effects, the leader should realize about
this problem. They just keep their guard for their members. In addition, if the
leader hasn’t had good enough skill to guard the members, they can learn the
way to guard members by joining training, seminar or learning from the
experience of other people and leader.
The fourth criterion is responsibility. Responsibility is
the first aspect that will be looked from a leader. Responsibility is very
important when a leader leads. For the example, if the leader doesn’t have responsibility,
the leader will run away if there is problem in an organization or a community.
Besides, the good leader will finish their problem in their organization or
community and look for the good way for maintaining themselves and their
members from the problem. Responsibility is easy to be said but in the fact, it
is difficult to be done. Specifically for a leader, they should have good
enough experience about leading an organization or community because
responsibility cannot be got easy by everyone. In the fact, this is not easy
because we can get responsibility based on our experience in our life. Everyone
has different experience about their life although they are as family or
friend. Therefore, the step of responsibility everyone is different. In this
case, the leader needs more responsibility than other people because leader has
members which are in their leadership.
The fifth
criterion is having authority. A leader should have well authoritative because
they should keep their attitude in public and their life. All of about their
life will be seen by all of people because they are as leader. Everything that
they do will be attended by their members. The members will follow what the
leader do and show. Therefore, an authoritative is very important for a leader.
Not only in the formal situation but also in the real life or their daily life.
If the leader doesn’t have well authoritative, their members will not respect
to the leader. It will be a problem when the members don’t respect to the
leader. All of thing that the leader says, they will not believe and understand
well. It will be the dangerous moment in the leadership of a leader.
Furthermore, a leader should trainee and exercise for themselves to get well
authoritative.
The sixth
criterion is trustworthy. In every agency and organization, trustworthy is
important aspect that should be had by a leader. The leader should be honest in
everything that they do. Someone else will get comfortable and trust to a
leader by doing everything with one key, honest. If someone do mistake by doing
dishonest, someone else will not give their trust to someone. Everyone will be
difficult to get trust from other people. Moreover a leader, they will be
difficult to get trust from their members. The leader should give the real
provident to their members. After that, the members will give appreciate to the
leader and they will believe to the leader. Practicing this aspect is not easy,
but we can try to do this aspect from simple thing in our life. Specifically
for a leader, they should try this aspect in their daily life because
trustworthy is everything in this life. Not only in the leader’s life but also
the real life of us, trustworthy is the sensitive aspect. We can get many
advantages by doing it, but we can lose everything in our life if we cannot be
trustworthy.
The seventh
criterion is discipline. Discipline is very necessary for a leader because
disciple is simple thing that gives big effect if we leave it. We will lose the important moment in our
organization or community by doing undisciplined. For example, if a leader
doesn’t have discipline and a leader should attend an important meeting. They
will be lost that important meeting, and the partner will be disappointed to
the leader. Then, the members will follow this undisciplined also. They will
think, if their leader does it and what for they do good action but their
leader is not. An organization or a community will not run well if this thing
is not be done by a leader. Besides, they will be finished in the middle of way
and bankrupt. Then, they will be difficult to get new members because based on
the historical of that organization or community is not good enough. Whatever
the condition of the organization or community, it can be small or big, famous
or infamous, rich or enrich, the important thing that should be given more
attention is about discipline. The leader should begin this discipline first or
they should be the pioneer of this aspect. Then the following time, it will be
followed by their members. This is the positive thing that is very useful for
all of people in this life. Therefore, the leader should practice this aspect
in their leadership.
The eighth is
loyalist. A loyalist is the following aspect that is very important to be had
by a leader. It means a leader doesn’t make a fair to other organization or
community although the leader has more than one organization or community that
they join. The leader has an obligation to be loyal in the organization or
community that they are be leader because leader is everything for it.
According to that explanation, a leader may join more than one organization or
community, but they should be able to manage their time and attention to both
of them. It is not easy but this is the obligation for leader. The best way for
a leader is joining more than organization or community but they are just being
a leader for one in both of them. Then, they can be a member or other
functionaries in these other organization or community without giving bad
effect to both of them.
The final
criterion is good attitude. Attitude is the key of all of things that we do.
Bad attitude will give impact to them who apply it. Everyone should keep on
their attitude and they should remember where they are now. The reason is that
we should know well where we must do this act and that act. Especially, a
leader should give more attention to their attitude. Moreover, if they are as
student and they have been attended by their parents and teacher. Therefore,
this point is very sensitive thing that the leader should understand well.
Those are the
criterions of a leader to have a good leadership in their organization or
community. Those are very useful to apply their leadership in their school organization.
Specifically, it will be their material for training about leadership. It will
give advantages for themselves and their school not only for nowadays but also
in the future of their life.
