Pragmatics (02) : Analysis of Meme

   

  

This meme has interesting meaning when we look at in the first time. We will interpret that this meme is about the difficulties of internet connection in village that force the society to being difficult when they want to get good internet connection. Besides, other people can access the internet connection easily without any struggle hard moreover it is just in their hand or pocket.

In addition, this meme has second meaning that not all people will understand in the first look. It has implicit meaning that can be analysed critically. Before that, we should know that there are two pictures in this meme. The first is in left side is the picture that is the difficulty of people to access internet. Then, in the right side is Doraemon picture that has miracle pocket that can give everything that Doraemon wants to. The meaning is that in village, not everyone can access internet easily because sometimes the location is not good enough to access internet such as in mountain range. Besides, the relation between the first picture and Doraemon picture is interesting. It shows that in the location that has minim facilities of internet, the people that has more influences or government will get more facilities to cover their life such as in simple example internet connection. In this meme, the influences people or government is drawn as Doraemon that has different skill and influence than other. As we know, the influences people such as government have good position and strength to create rules in village and they get good facilities also from the government. In the other hand, the societies should struggle hard to have connection internet is drawn as commoner that their life is not easy as the government. Therefore, by analysing this meme, we know that it has two meaning such as explicit and implicit meaning.
